A growing consultancy is expanding its infrastructure team and looking for Cost Managers who can balance technical rigour with commercial nous on residential-led mixed-use schemes. This is a genuine opportunity to own the cost and programme narrative across large, complex projects from design through handover.
The Opportunity
Our client is a consultancy managing enabling infrastructure for major residential and mixed-use developments across London and beyond. The focus is utilities, public realm, landscaping and the infrastructure that supports vertical build. You'll work as part of a larger team alongside a Management Contractor, which means real autonomy to challenge, advise and drive decisions.
What You'll Be Doing
- Cost planning and control across the full project lifecycle—from Stage 4 through design, procurement, construction and handover.
- Challenge the Management Contractor on procurement strategy, commercial responses and change control.
- Lead design risk and value engineering workshops with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Advise on infrastructure delivery strategies—phasing, risk management, feasibility.
- Develop and maintain client relationships that secure further opportunities.
What We're Looking For
- Evidential experience delivering infrastructure projects—utilities, public realm, landscape, drainage, comms.
- Quantity Surveying degree and professional qualification. Chartered or working toward chartership.
- Strong analytical and cost planning skills on complex, multi-phased developments.
- Proficiency with measurement software (Bluebeam, QSCA, Cost X).
